Between the end of 2014 and the start of 2015 the American climbers Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson spent 19 days on El Capitan in Yosemite Valley completing, after years of efforts, the first free ascent of Dawn Wall.

Having set off without much fuss on 27 December, their efforts to complete the world’s hardest big wall captured the imagination of many and ignited a global media frenzy. This documentary follows not only the historic first free ascent but also everything that led the two climbers - for good and for bad - to be under the world’s spotlight.
