After making the first ascent of BASE in 2021 on the West face of Petit Dru in the Mont Blanc massif, the Chamonix High Mountain Military Group managed to establish a new line slightly further to the right at the end of 2024. Called Petit Pont, it was put up by Philippe Bruley, Amaury Fouillade and Baptiste Obin during a beautiful, 7-day winter journey, past difficulties up to M5 6a A3 on the 1000m climb.
