Valery Rozov Kilimanjaro BASE jump
Valery Rozov continues his record-breaking ascents and BASE jump descents. After a series of spectacular flights such as the one from a record height of 7220m off the North Face of Everest, such as his jump off Shivling and Grand Pilier d'Angle on Mont Blanc, the 50-year-old Russian has now flown his wing suit from Kilimanjaro, at 5895m the highest peak in Tanzania and the entire African continent.
Rozov leapt just below the summit of the Western Breach Wall at 546m, the only "exit point" he considered sufficiently vertical for his flight. he spent the night in the Kilimanjaro crater at 5750m in order to be able to jump early in the morning and avoid the mountain being shrouded in clouds.
