Superdad, new route up Punta Malanotte in the Cozie Alps
In summer 2013 Fabio Ventre and his father Mauro made the first ascent of Superdad (120m, 5c) up Punta Malanotte in the Cozie Alps.

Superdad (120m, 5c) di Fabio Ventre & Mauro Ventre, Punta Malanotte, Cozie Alps
We liked this route. Perhaps because with a 5c crux pitch and 4a obligaotry climbing it's within the grasp of many. And perhaps also because it's the first route established by Fabio Ventre and therefore he opted for a face close to home which was "fairly easy, offered good rock and an easy descent", namely the bastion below Punta Malanotte, opposite the famous Cristalliera in the Cozie Alps. And we liked this route, above all, because Fabio was accompanied up this "classic outing, seeing that there are no pegs and all the belays need equipping except for the first" by his father Mauro. The name of their first experiment? It couldn't be anything other than Superdad.
