On 22 January, after an approach of around 1,200 metres, Marco Toldo and Aldo Valmassoi opened a spectacular ice and mixed climbed in the heart of the Marmarole in the Belluno Dolomites.
It is “a stunning, isolated line in the heart of the face, opened in traditional style using pegs, ice screws and a trad rack.” Located in the San Vito valley, the 400m line is called Subconscia and features difficulties up to A2, IV and WI6.
