| On Sunday 16 February the young Swiss ice climber Simon Anthamatten made a swift second ascent of Robert Jasper's "Vertical Limits" M12 at Kandersteg, Switzerland. The 20 year-old climbed the 35m overhanging mixed traverse on just his 7th try in an epic 40 minute fight. Although unable to confirm the grade due to his current lack of top level experience, he commented that "the route is really hard!" His younger brother Samuel is currently working the route and, if his first on-sight attempt to within 5m of the lip is anything to go by, success should be just around the corner... Stay tuned.
