New routes in Val Lanterna

Two new routes in Val Lanterna, Central Alps
Two new routes have been established in Valmalenco, a valley in the italian Central Alps yet to be fully developed.

Both routes are situated on the Parete della Diga, at an altitude of about 2100m , in Alta Val Lanterna (Campo Moro).

The first five-pitch bolt-protected route is called South Ass 6a/6a+ and was climbed on 1 June by Luca Maspes, Norbert Parolini, Christian Gianatti and C..

Dottor Svab was established using only natural pro by Luca Maspes and Erik Svab, and is graded 6b/6b+.
