At the start of December Simon Kehrer called me and asked if I had time to check out a line up at Campill. He’d stumbled across an interesting icefall while guiding clients through the Longiarü - Antersasc valley in Val Badia and was curious.

I didn’t think twice and the night before the climb we met in Olang at the bar "Würstelschorsch", to organize things while having a drink or two of mulled wine.

The next day we met early in the morning and skinned up to the icefall that turned out to be extremely beautiful, in a wild and very panoramic setting. Since it’s wedged between the rocks it receives little sun. Still tired from the previous night, we decided to dedicate the new route to our host by calling it Schorschs Weinfall.
