A study to verify the impact of pollution on the roof of the world is to be carried out by two Italian researchers Giuseppe Giaveri and Luigi Bergamaschi. Using the Everest research Pyramid Laboratory-Observatory as a base the two will carry out tests in collaboration with the CNR, the University of Pavia and Epson Meteo. Currently the two are trekking through the Kumbu valley and will shortly reach the laboratory at 5050m before commencing the scientific research.
