With the first cold snap the 2016/2017 ice climbing season is now well and truly underway, not only in Europe but also in North America where Italy’s Angelika Rainer is currently preparing for the UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup which will begin on 16 December at Durango in Colorado. A year ago the climber from the South Tyrol managed to climb her first M14-, The Mustang in the famous Vail amphitheater.
