Turkish rock climber Zorbey Aktuyun has made the first ascent of the 8a trad climb Kült at Pınarbaşı Canyon in the Aladağlar massif. Furthermore, on the striking Parmakkaya obelisk he has made a rope solo ascent of the classic Orient climb, established by Helmut Gargitter and Pauli Trenkwalder.

Zorbey Aktuyun reports about the first repeat of nessuno (8a+, 470 m) carried out with Muammer Yalcın in the Aladaglar massif in Turkey.

Part 2 - from July to December - of what happened in alpinism and climbing in 2012.

In July and August 2012 Italian climbers Rolando Larcher, Luca Giupponi and Nicola Sartori returned to Turkey's Aladaglar massif where they established and freed "nessuno" (470m, 8a+ max, 7b obligatory) up the North Face of Cima Vay Vay and "Radio Eksen" (200m, 7c max, 7a+ obligatory) in the Cimbar Valley.

On 12 July the Italian Ragni di Lecco Simone Pedeferri, Fabio Palma and Andrea Pavan made the first ascent of "Qui io vado ancora" 7c max, 7a oblig with two pitches of A1 in Peru's Quebrada Rurec valley.
