Yasushi Yamanoi to receive Lifetime Achievement Award Piolet d'Or Carrière 2021 Japanese mountaineer Yasushi Yamanoi is to receive the13th Piolets d'Or Carrière Lifetime Achievement Award. The prize giving ceremony will be celebrated in Briançon, France, from 26 to 29 November.

kei taniguchi perishes on Mount Kuro in Japan Yesterday 22 December 2015 the body of missing Japanese alpinist kei taniguchi was found on Mount Kuro in Japan. In 2009 she had been the first woman to win the prestigious Piolet d'Or.

Piolets d’Or Asia, the 2012 winners The 7th Piolet d’Or Asia 2012 was held in Seoul, Korea on 9/11/2012. The alpine award went to the Korean mountaineers Kim Chang-ho and An Chi-young, as well as Zhou Peng and Lee Shuang. Denis Urbko from Kazakhstan won the achievement award.
