Andreas Fransson: Reaching My Limit in Patagonia

The video of Andreas Fransson and his extreme skiing trip to Patagonia during which he carried out the first ski descent of the Whillans Ramp on Aguja Poincenot.

We knew it would be interesting. And we weren't disappointed. Well, Andreas Fransson has always surprised us and as many will remember, last September he took the mountaineering world by storm with the first ski descent of the Whillans ramp on Aguja Poincenot in Patagonia. According to those in the know, the Swede is one of the absolute reference points for extreme skiing, for his technique but above all for his vision, his ability to see lines where others see the impossible. Well, after that incredible Whillans descent Fransson confided that this was certainly "one of the most challenging runs in my life". Which leads neatly in to the name of the film, Reaching My Limit, which documents that Patagonian expedition. Filmed by Bjarne Salén, the flick is split in two parts and while the first episode is online now, the second (with the ramp) will go online perfectly timed for a great Christmas present...
