On 6 May Rolando Larcher carried out the first free ascent of Mezzogiorno di fuoco (270m, 8b max, 7c obligatory) on Punta Giradili, Sardinia. The route had been established by Larcher together with Maurizio Oviglia and Roberto Vigiani in 2006.

On 29/05 the Swiss-Italian trio comprised of Giacomelli - Pellissier - Troillet won the XVI Mezzalama, the most challenging ski mountaineering race in the world. The women's event was won by the extraordinary Martinelli - Pedranzini - G.Pellissier, who in doing so also set a new course record.

On 09/04/07 Renzo Benedetti climbed to C1 on Dhaulagiri as did Mario Merelli and Mario Panzeri. Silvio Mondinelli, Marco Confortola and Alberto Maglianohave reached Kathmandu and are heading for Cho Oyu. Nives Meroi and Romano Benet are heading the Everest north side.
