Today, 7 August 2025, the 'Solleder-Lettenbauer' route on the Northwest Face of Civetta in the Dolomites turns 100 years old. First ascended in a single day by Gustav Lettenbauer and Emil Solleder on 7 August 1925, this climb is renowned for being the first sixth grade route in the Alps....

On the SW Face of Cima Ceda Occidentale in Val d'Ambiez (Brenta Dolomites) Daniele Bolognani, Davide Dallago and Walter Endrizzi have made the first ascent of 'Zero Termico'. Bolognani reports.

Radoslav Groh and Zdeněk Hák have made the first ascent of the previously unclimbed southeast face of Hunza Peak (7300m) in the Karakorum, Pakistan. The two Czech mountaineers climbed alpine style ofver a period of 5 days at the start of June.

French alpinists Léo Billon and Enzo Oddo have made the first ascent of ‘OSS ne répond plus..’ (7a+, 700m) on the west face of Aiguille du Plan, Mont Blanc.

Barbara Zangerl and Jacopo Larcher have made the first free ascent of 'Next Generation' in the Rätikon massif. Located on the Zwölferkopf west face, this 170m alpine sport climb was established by Christian Fritz, Pio Jutz, Klaus Müller and Christof Thaler in 2018 and now goes free at 8b+.

On 9 April 2025, Italian ski instructor Claudio Lanzafame skied the west face of Cima Serodoli (Adamello-Presanella range). Lanzafame’s report details what is likely to be the first descent of this face.

On 05/04/2025 Philipp Brugger from Austria and Nicolas Hojac from Switzerland climbed the north faces of Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau in 15 hours 30 minutes. The previous record along the same three climbs was set by Ueli Steck and Stephan Siegrist in 2004 in 25 hours.

Luca Vallata reports about a climbing trip to the Hoggar massif in Algeria. With Richard Felderer and Federico Martinelli the trio repeated and established several routes; the standout climb was the first ascent of 'Les Hommes Bleus' on Dôme de l'Éléphant in the Tesnou group.

The report by Andrea Gremes, who on 4 March 2025 teamed up with Emanuele Andreozzi to make the first ascent of 'Via Teti', a mixed climb on the north face of Cima Busazza in the Adamello-Presanella group, Italy.

On the west face of Cerro Piergiorgio in Patagonia, Italian alpinists Matteo Della Bordella, Dario Eynard, and Mirco Grasso have completed Gringos Locos. The route was first attempted in 1995 by Maurizio Giordani and Luca Maspes, who had managed to climb more than three-quarters up the face.
