French mountaineers Léo Billon and Benjamin Védrines have completed an exceptional trilogy, climbing the north faces of the Drus, Les Droites and the Grandes Jorasses in just three days and in the middle of winter. The enchainment was described as 'unimaginable' until only recently.

The video of Simon Gietl, Roger Schäli and North6, their project to climb the six great north faces of the Alps, travelling from one mountain to the next by bike: Cima Grande di Lavaredo, Pizzo Badile, Eiger, matterhorn, Petit Dru and Grandes Jorasses.

The Carrel hut on the matterhorn will be moved to avoid rockfall. The new bivouac will be built a few meters from its current location and should be inaugurated in summer 2024. The cost of demolition and reconstruction is in the regione of two million euros.
