Russian climbers Sergey Dashkevich, Mikhail Davy, Evgeniy Dmitrienko and Arkadiy Seregin have established Via Russo (1600m (750m new) 6b (ABO) A4 M4) a new route up the SE Face of Aguja Poincenot in Patagonia.

The Sport Climbing competition at the first Winter Military World Games was an unforgettable event and was won by the Slovenians Klemen Becan and Maja Vidmar.
