In the Mont Blanc massif the Spanish mountaineers roger cararach Soler, Marc Toralles and Bru Busom repeated the Japanese Couloir, the so-called 'Couloir central' that splits the North Face of the Grandes Jorasses. The three repeated the climb in 24 hours, without bivouacs, and at the start of the season.

Catalan mountaineers Oriol Baró, roger cararach and Santiago Padrós have climbed two new routes on Nepal’s 6000m peaks: 'Pilar Dudh Khunda' up the SSW arete of Karyolung (6511m) and 'Nepali Sun' which terminates at 6900m on the South Face of Numbur (6959m).

58 ascents carried out in 2014 have been included in the "Big list" of the Piolets d'Or, the most prestigious mountaineering award that will be celebrated between 9 - 12 April, 2015 at Courmayeur and Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc.
