David Göttler, Tiphaine Duperier & Boris Langenstein have carried out an alpine style ascent of Nanga Parbat (8126m) via the Rupal Face. The German descended the mountain by paraglider, while the French duo completed a ski descent.

David Göttler has abandoned his ambitious expedition on Nanga Parbat for this year, due to unfavourable conditions during his final summit attempt. The German alpinist had hoped to climb the Rupal Face alpine style, initially with mike arnold, then with Tiphaine Duperier and Boris Langenstein.

Due to the bad weather conditions the Italian mountaineer Hervé Barmasse and his German climbing partner David Göttler have called off their expedition which aimed to climb Nanga Parbat in winter.

Winter attempts on some of the highest mountains in the world are about to begin: Hervé Barmasse, David Göttler, mike arnold and Qudrat Ali will attempt Nanga Parbat; Simone Moro, Alex Txikon and Rinzee Sherpa will try their luck on Manaslu; Jost Kobusch will attempt to solo Everest.

A few days after the remarkable descent carried out by Paul Bonhomme, Davide Capozzi, Alessandro Letey and mike arnold have traced a new line down the south face of Punta Patrì in the Gran Paradiso massif. Capozzi reports.
