The fifth edition of the Tor des Géant, the great endurance trail race across the 4000m peaks in Italy's Valle d'Aosta, is currently in full swing.

The Americans Anton Krupicka and Rory Bosio have won the eighth edition of the North Face® Lavaredo Ultra Trail. In the shorter race, the Cortina Trail, victory went to the German Fabian Schnekenburger and Lara Mustat.

The report by Marco Spataro about the IV Tor des Geants 2013, the race along the paths at the foot of Mont Blanc and the great Valle d'Aosta peaks (330km and 24.000 elevation gain), won by Iker Karrera and francesca canepa.

The Tor des Geants 2012 was won by Oscar Perèz (Spain) and francesca canepa (Italy). The race along the Valle d'Aosta paths at the foot of Mont Blanc (330km and 24.000 elevation gain) was completed by 392 athletes.
