![]() The 18th edition of the International Festival of Mountain Films "Vila de Torelló" took place in Torellò, Spain from 10 -19 November. Sir Chris Bonington was invited as guest of honour and apart from screening the best mountain films produced this year, the Festival also presented four separate exhibitions: one book exhibition, two photographic exhibitions and a gear exhibition. The Festival Jury, composed of Xavier Duran, Ferran Latorre, Daniel MartÃ, Rosa M. Palencia and Carles Vallés, awarded Grand Prize "Vila de Torello" to Gerhard Baur for his film 'Das Drama der Eigernordwand'. This recounts the true story of two young climbers who, twenty years ago, were saved from the north face of the Eiger after an epic nine-day ordeal.
