Chabot and Sarkany win the third stage of the World Cup Difficulty 2002 at Imst
Make that three! After Bolzano and Yekaterinburg Alexandre Chabot adds the Austrian stage at Imst to his collection. In winning all three stages of the World Cup 2002 the Frenchman now dominates more than ever before and is in a commanding position to duplicate last year’s overall win. Muriel Sarkany wins the women’s event, for the second time this season, ahead of Katrin Sedlmayer and Sandrine Levet.

Tomas Mrazek from the Czech Republic placed second in the men’s event and now trails 75 points behind Chabot, while Cédric Lachat from Switzerland placed third. Jerome Pouvreau maintains third place in the 2002 ranking by placing fifth in Imst. In the women’s event Sandrine Levet is currently placed second, ahead of Martina Cufar third.

The next stage of the World Cup will be in held at Lecco, Italy, from 24 to 30 June.
