Bubu Bole and Silvia Cian have won the first stage of Alpin Cup, held in Campitello di Fassa on 26/27 December.

| Last weekend the small alpine village Campitello di Fassa hosted the first stage of the Italian Alpin Cup 2004-2005. The ice climbing competition took place on the local outdoor climbing wall, adapted specifically for the occasion. Mauro Bole unsurprisingly won the men's event, ahead of Herbert Klammer and Patrik Daberto. The women's event was won by reigning Italian champion Silvia Cian, ahead of Claudia Colussi and Gina Curcio.  Photos: 4th placed Beppe Ballico competiting in the Alpine Cup. |
