Last September Steve McClure made the second ascent of Lexicon, the E11 trad climb at Pavey Ark in England established a few weeks earlier by Neil Gresham.

McClure’s ascent wasn’t without a glitch: the 51-year-old took a harrowing 20m fall from the last moves, coming uncomfortably close to hitting the deck. Check out the footage of one of the biggest trad whippers you're ever likely to see, filmed for last year’s Brit Rock Film Tour by Alastair Lee and Dave MacLeod. For the record, MacLeod made the third ascent in April this year. Without taking the fall.
