Video: Jakob Schubert vs 'Alphane' (9A) in Chironico
The video of Austrian climber Jakob Schubert sending his first 9A boulder problem, 'Alphane' in Chironico / Switzerland.
After a concerted, 22-day battle, in December 2023 Jakob Schubert climbed his first 9A boulder problem, Alphane in Chironico, Switzerland. According to the 34-year-old, the film "documents the biggest battle I ever had with a boulder, switching back and forth between different betas and repeatedly getting shut down by bad conditions to the point where I almost gave up."
Alphane was established by Shawn Raboutou in 2022 and prior to Schubert's ascent, repeated by Aidan Roberts, Will Bosi and Simon Lorenzi.
