After having established the line in July, last week two of North America's most talented climbers - Sonnie Trotter and Tommy Caldwell - redpointed their project on Mount Louie in Canada. The 15 pitch outing weighs in at 5.13c/d, with the seven headwall pitches bolted on lead and breaking down at 5.12+, 5.12+/13-, 5.13+, 5.12-, 5.12+, 5.11+ and 5.10.

After the ascent Trotter stated "The Shining is one of the best routes I have ever climbed, and I could not imagine having a better partner for it. In fact, if it were not for Tommy, it would definitely still be a project.  He's my ultimate hero. We started our mission at 1am, and we both freed every pitch, and summited around 6pm, and back to town for a steak dinner. Does it get any better than that? I wonder"
