14 year old Rudi Moroder from Italy has managed to send his first 8b, the 55 move stamina testpiece Super Polentin at Pian de Schiavaneis, Dolomites.

| Phenomenal Rudi Moroder! A few days ago the young Italian managed to send his first 8b, the 55 move stamina testpiece Super Polentin at Pian de Schiavaneis, Dolomites. Up to here nothing really newsworthy some might say. Yes, unless you consider his date of birth: 1992! The fourteen year old, who has already onsighted 7c+, reduces the gap with others of the new school generation (read David Lama, Adam Ondra et al) and demonstrates that there are great hopes for young super climbers not just from Austria and the Czech Republic, but in Italy, too.
