English climber James Pearson and his French partner Caroline Ciavaldini are currently touring Italy to discover some of the countries historic crags from Finale Ligure in the North all the way to Sicily in the South, to get a feel for the important stages of the evolution of sport climbing in Italy. After the first two stages at Finale and Muzzerone they quickly realised how formidable some of the former "old-school" testpieces still are. Especially if climbed using the gear of the era, as can be seen in this fun little video...
