Jonathan Siegrist's European tour continues on a roll. With temperatures rising in Spain after his redpoint of the 9a+ La Rambla at Siurana in March, the American climber travelled north to France in search of cooler cliffs. The option - by no means difficult - was to return to Céüse, a crag Siegrist knows and loves intimately as it is here that, in June last year, he pulled off a rare repeat of Chris Sharma's 9a+ masterpiece Biographie.

Siegrist now checks in with another redpoint in the same Biographie sector, namely a repeat of Le Cadre Nouvelle, the variation to the 8c Le Cadre freed in 2010 by Adam Ondra and graded 9a. Siegrist needed seven days of attempts for the redpoint and told planetmountain.com that the route "has a very low percentage jump move on it - in the new section - that was super hard for me! I started trying it because when I arrived it was the only thing dry. But I ended up really liking it and it's fun to try something outside of my usual style."
