Swiss boulderer Giuliano Cameroni occasionally exchanges a crash pad for a rope and harness and, when he does, the results are pretty much always short and sweet. The intense Legacy freed last year at Rocklands in South Africa is a case in point, as are two of his most recent creations in his local stomping ground Valle Bavona in Canton Ticino.

Simple Man tackles a stunning technical arête bolted by Fabrizio Calebasso and was freed just the other day by Cameroni after just two sessions at 8c, while Mojo Rising close to the classic Heritage church provides a powerful two-move crux with massive dyno and checks in at half a grade harder. Apart from the innate difficulty, what stands out is the beauty of this line, bolted and freed by the 22-year old in just 4 days. Stay tuned…

Cameroni thanks: Petzl, Red Bull, Five Ten, adidas, FrictionLabs
