As reported in February, Robbie Phillips discovered an amazing crack climb below a bridge that spanned a canal in Edinburgh, Scotland. The "route" obviously immediately caught the attention of Pete Whittaker and Tom Randall, two of the world’s foremost crack climbers, and shortly after lockdown Whittaker traveled north to make a quick repeat.

Phillips has continued his urban climbing exploration and was led to a bridge that appears to have been constructed specifically for crack climbing: perfectly horizontal, the roof is 20 meters long and just a few centimeters above the ground, crossed by 11 smooth cracks of all different sizes. And what’s best is that it never gets wet. Check out the new frontier for crack climbing, ideal for training prior to Indian Creek!
