Highly talented alpinist and physics professor Raphael Slawinski and Chilean guide Juan Henriquez have established The Hand of God, a new mixed outing on Mt. Murchison in the Canadian Rockies.

The route in question has been described as "overhanging limestone to hanging ice, a classic Rockies combination" and is located a few hundred meters to the left of the classic flow Cosmic Messenger. The route was established in two attempts and the the 135m breach difficulties up to M7 WI5. Some sections on the pitches, and some belays, have been equipped with bolts.

As to the route's name, this obviously refers to a childhood idol of Henriquez who died a few days before the climb was completed, Diego Armando Maradona.
