New UIAA directive
At the UIAA General Assembly in New Delhi, on 16 October 2004, there were important elections for the term of 2005-2008 for a new President, Board, Council and Commission members.
| At the UIAA General Assembly in New Delhi, on 16 October 2004, there were important elections for the term of 2005-2008 for a new President, Board, Council and Commission members. The GA elected Alan Blackshaw (Great Britain) as new UIAA President and as Board members: Pierre Humblet (Belgium), Vice-President; Ian Bønding (Denmark), Secretary General; Jürg Schweizer (Switzerland), Treasurer; Paola Gigliotti (Italy), Nico de Jong (Netherlands), Marco Scolaris (Italy) and Li Zhixin (China). The GA also adopted a report that recommended to improve and simplify the organisational structure of the UIAA and, in particular, to more closely integrate the competition sports. |
