Nepal - Lukla and Jomsom Airports closed for most of next year

The Nepalese Government has decided to close Lukla and Jomsom Airports for 14 months starting from May 2000. This is due to major renovation and extension works, although the airports should be open from October to January. For more information, see www.mountaineering.org/events_2000/news_0812.html
