Directissima / The splendour of winter climbing in Quebec
The film Directissima directed by Louis Rousseau the shows the areas Saguenay (Cap Trinité) and Charlevoix (Mont du Gros Bras) and the beauty of winter mountaineering in Quebec, Canada.

The frozen Fjord of Saguenay and imposing Cap Trinité, which hosts the 300m mixed route "La Directissime" (André Robert, Jean Sylvain, Pierre Vézina, 1967)
Winter 2016. Three friends travel to the frozen Fjord of Saguenay in order to attempt to free climb the 300m mixed route La Directissime up imposing Cap Trinité, first ascended way back in 1967 by Jean Sylvain, André Robert and Pierre Vézina. Forced to retreat due to unstable rock, they quickly set about climbing another direttissima up Mont du Gros Bras in the Charlevoix region.
The ascents are documented in this short film directed by formidable Canadian alpinist Louis Rousseau who aimed to show the "splendour of winter climbing and the unique scenery of Quebec", in these world class areas quite rightly considered "terrific hardcore training ground for greater mountain ranges" and also "at the cutting edge for winter climbing."
