Anna Torretta dry tooling at Kandersteg
Anna Torretta repeats Robert Jasper's "Tomahawk" M10+/M11- at Sulwald, Switzerland
![]() Kandersteg in the Swiss Alps, or rather, one of the world's premier ice climbing and dry tooling areas. The Italian Anna Torretta paid a lightening visit to Sulwald, one of Kandersteg's mixed crags equipped by Robert Jasper, where she attempted "White Out" M10. Unfortunately a crucial hold broke during her ascent, rendering the climb significantly harder than before. Torretta decided to focus her attention on Japser's "Tomahawk" M10+/M11-, working the moves through the 10m overhang to reach the drip. Despite warm conditions, she returned a day later and sent the route straight off, feeling the line to be at least half a grade overgraded.
