Bolivia, May 2014. A small Italian expedition comprised of Marco Erbetta, Enrico Rosso and Father Antonio Zavattarelli attempt a ridge reputed to be one of the most beautiful in the entire Andes. Unfortunately the alpinists are forced to turn around at 5900m due to dangerous conditions. This, high up on the West Ridge of Illimani, is their story.
