Erwan Legrand, the 17-year-old son of climbing champion François Legrand, is putting in some excellent attempts on 'Bombé Bleu', the route bolted by Marc Le Menestrel in 1991 and still unrepeated.

On his first visit to Buoux in France Alexander Megos repeated a slew of classic testpieces. His standout ascent is a flash of ‘Agincourt’, the historic 8c established by Ben Moon in 1989.

At the crag San Rocchino close to Camaiore in Tuscany, Italy, Gabriele Moroni then Lorenzo Bogliacino have repeated Naturalmente. Graded 9a+, the route was freed by Adam Ondra in 2017 and unrepeated.

Interest in the Buoux Bombé bleu project, also referred to as chantier by French climbing legend Marc Le Menestrel who bolted the line in 1991, has been rekindled thanks to French climber Nicolas Januel who recently attempted the historic project.
