Day 10 held no great surprises in store but proved difficult for all athletes. While many reached the Matterhorn, Christian Maurer is now 120km from the finish line, ahead of benoit outters and Paul Guschlbauer.

The ninth day of the Red Bull X-Alps 2017 proved to be more difficult than expected with many athletes making little headway, including competition leader Christian Maurer who is currently 150 km from the finish line.

In 2 days time, on Sunday 2 July, the eighth edition of Red Bull X-Alps will start. 31 athletes will compete in this extenuating and incredible traverse across the Alps, by paraglider or on foot, from Salzburg to the Principality of Monaco.
