Skiing Dolomites - first lifts open

Winter 2002 starts this weekend with the first lifts opening in the Dolomites
It’s time to ski! The season 2002 was inaugurated last weekend in the Dolomites with the opening of Col Gallina at Passo Falzarego and the Cinque Torri, and on Sunday 1 December Dolomiti Superski will open a further 42 lifts and 90km of slopes.

60% of the 460 lifts will be opened on 6/7 December, creating a carousel of 1220 km of pistes encompassing 12 different skiing areas in the Dolomites. 16 new "Dolomiti SuperSkitours" have been created, providing skiers with the opportunity to discover history, culture and gastronomical delights of the various different valleys. For piste information see
Dolomiti Superski.

Time to ski also means time to analyse the weather and the snow conditions. If you are thinking about skiing in Italy this winter, have a look at forecast on the sites listed below.
