Second repeat of “Illuminati” M11 WI6+ of the super multi-pitch mixed route in Vallunga (Val Gardena, Dolomites) at the hands of Erik Svab from Italy and Klemen Premrl from Slovenia.

On 29/01/2008 Florian Riegler and Herbert Klammer repeated Illuminati, the difficult mixed route (150m, M11+, WI6+) in Val Lunga - Selva Gardena, Dolomites, Italy.

On 28 October Tomasz Humar from Slovenia reportedly carried out a solo ascent of the south Face of Annapurna reaching the South Summit at 8026m, located to the east of the 8091m high main summit.

On Monday 9 October Thomas and Alexander Huber set a new speed record on The Nose, El Capitan, Yosemite, climbing the route in 2:45:45 and beating the old record by over 3 minutes.
