Jernej Kruder nets Big fish, 8c+/9a Mallorca Deep Water Solo Slovenian climber Jernej Kruder has repeated 'Big fish', the 8c+/9a deep water solo on the island of Mallorca in Spain. Established by Chris Sharma in 2017, this is now only the third ascent of this 20m psicobloc after the first repeat in 2023 by Matty Hong.

Andrzej Bargiel makes first complete ski descent of Everest without bottled oxygen Polish ski mountaineer Andrzej Bargiel has become the first person in the world to climb and then make a complete ski descent of Mount Everest (8,849m) without supplementary oxygen. The 37-year-old skied the mountain's south face and stopped for the night at Camp II.

Fitz Roy's Casarotto route gets first winter ascent by Matteo Della Bordella, Marco Majori On 7 September 2025 the Italian alpinists Matteo Della Bordella and Marco Majori completed the coveted first winter ascent of the Casarotto route on Fitz Roy in Patagonia. The legendary climb up the Goretta Pillar was established solo by Renato Casarotto in 1979.

Voie Lafaille on Drus West face freed by Léo Billon, Enzo Oddo French alpinists Léo Billon and Enzo Oddo have made the first free ascent of 'Voie Lafaille' on the West face the Drus in the Mont Blanc massif. The route was established solo by French ace Jean-Christophe Lafaille in winter 2001.
