Slovenian climber Luka Krajnc has carried out the fourth complete free ascent of Bellavista on Cima Ovest di Lavaredo, Dolomites, first ascended by Alexander Huber solo during winter 1999 with difficulties up to A4 and then freed by German at 8c in July 2001. Urban Golob provides the report.

In July Slovenian climbers Luka Krajnc and Andrej Grmovsek carried out the first free ascent of the route Via Sandro Pertini, Cima Grande di Lavaredo, Dolomites.

Riccardo Cassin passed away last night at his home in Resinelli at the foot of his beloved Grigna mountain. Cassin was one of the world's all time absolute mountaineering legends. He had celebrated his 100th birthday on 2 January this year.

On 04/07/2007 Mauro 'Bubu' Bole and Gabriele Gorobey carried out the first free ascent of Donnafugata (750m; max 8a), first ascended by Christoph Hainz and Roger Schäli in 2004 on the S Face of torre trieste, Civetta, Dolomites.

On 30 September Mauro Bubu Bole made the first free ascent of his "Patrick Berhault" 8a on the 900m SW Face of torre trieste, Dolomites.
