The report by La Venta about the December 2024 expedition to the Amazon rainforest in south central Colombia, more precisely to the Serranía del Chiribiquete National Natural Park, to explore and study a new area of rock cliffs and caves adorned with remarkable ancient murals.

The Arco Rock Star international climbing photography contest will be held from 10 to 12 May 2019 at Arco, Italy. Registration is still open for the OPEN category. The event takes place during the Adventure Awards Days festival; Stefano Gregoretti will receive the Best Adventurer award.

The second edition of Arco Rock Star, the photography competition that takes place annually during the Adventure Awards Days Festival, was won on Sunday 23 April by pro photographer Giovanni Danieli. Alex Buisse took second place while Federico Ravassard took third. The Open category was won by Graziano Galvagni.

In September 2011 a group of five speleologists and mountaineers of La Venta Association spotted a possible track of dinosaur footprints at 3025 meters on the North-east ridge of Mount Pelmo in the Dolomites.

At the end of October the small Polish town Zakopan celebrated its second Mountain Film Festival. The winner of the Sportkania z Filmen Gorskim was L'Abisso by Alessandro Anderloni, whilst the spectators award went to Premeny Tatier by Pavel Barabasz.
