49° International Film Festival at Trento
The 49° Film Festival di Trento takes place in Trento from 27 April - 5 May 2001
![]() Spring, as usual, signals a flurry of activity in the Italian city of Trento, where preparations are in full swing for the 49th international Filmfestival. After last years main focus on the Himalaya, the 2001 edition will now concentrate on the Alps, in view of the fact that the United Nations has programmed 2002 as the International Year of Mountains. The week-long festival is divided into various categories which include film, the Itas book award and the Born to Walk internet award, while other side events include an exhibition and, above all, Friday evenings highly anticipated presentation of alpinists. Mountaineers such as René Desmaison, Patrick Berhault, Mauro Bole, Christophe Lafaille, Christophe Profit, the Huber brothers, Christoph Hainz, Marco Anghileri, Gianluca Maspes, Giorgio Passino and many others, will present their own personal history and backgrounds. An event not to be missed! Information Filmfestival Città di Trento Centro S. Chiara, Via S.
