| Jenny Lavarda and Flavio Crespi won the Italian Difficulty Championships in Penne last weekend, ahead of a tight-knit field comprised of second placed Dino Lagni (World Champion in 1999) and third placed Luca Zardini. Lavarda won her eigth national title, equalling Luisa Iovane's record, who placed second, ahead of Claudia Salvadori, third. Across the border in Scheidegg, Germany, Christian Bindhammer crowned off his year with victory in the German Championship. In an exciting Final Bindhammer climbed past a crux move to beat young Timo PreuÃler and his brother Andreas. Tthe women's event was won by 32 year old Damaris Knorr, ahead of Sarah Seeger and Julia Winter.
