| Mix the following ingredients: -11 degrees centigrade, an engineer, a snow making machine and a large group of people armed with shovels and ice axes. Result: the large artificial ice structure that will host the Ice Master World Cup, the only stage of the Ice World Cup 2002 to take place in Italy, and the Italian Championship, a.k.a. the 1st Grivel Trophy. 11 meters high, covered by tons of ice, steep and wildly overhanging. It’ll be interesting to see how the athletes fare, and this weekend’s Italian Championship should be a good start.
