| The second stage of the European Youth Cup will take place at Trieste from 7-8 April 2001. 250 young athletes from 15 different countries are expected to take part in the competition. The first stage took place last weekend at Apatity in Russia. The Juniors was won by Alexandre Kovalevskj and Ioulia Abramtchouk from Russia, Youth A was won by Vladimir Khokhlov (Russia) and Natalija Gros (Slovenia), while the Youth B event was won by Alexeeva Ksenia and Vasili Vorotnikov, both from Russia.
