Bouldering World Cup Cortina d'Ampezzo

The 5th stage of this year’s Bouldering World Cup was held in Cortina
The 5th stage of this year’s Bouldering World Cup was held in Cortina, in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd. Elena Choumilova and Stephanie Bodet proved to be a notch above the rest, being the only ones who climbed all six problems. Choumilova needed one go less than Bodet to climb one of the boulders and was therefore judged winner, ahead of Bodet and an impressive Levet Sandrine.

The thrilling men’s final took place on Saturday afternoon and produced some surprising results. Serik Kazbekov won a deserved and convincing victory (11th in the final starting list and only person to climb all problems) ahead of Jerome Meyer (5 top) and the stylish. The Italian Christian Core, first in the World Cup rankings, came fifth and retains his lead at the top of this first World Cup.
