Yosemite climbing, behind the lens of Jimmy Chin
Jimmy Chin takes us behind the scenes and behind his lens to show just how much work goes in to capturing the climbing and its culture in Yosemite valley.

"Yosemite is the epicentre of climbing. A lot of the greatest climbing feats in history have happened here and they are happening right now. I think Yosemite climbing has a certain purity to it because the climbers are up there battling it out, pushing through physical and mental challenges far from the eyes of the world. There's nobody there to see it. To be able to bring that story back, bring those moments back to people, is really inspiring to me because it's part of my life's work."
This, in short, is what drives American photographer Jimmy Chin who recently produced a Yosemite assignment for the prestigious magazine National Geographic. We recommend you check out some of the results below.
